Dedication of the LOTUS

Dedication of the LOTUS

In honor of Sri Swami Satchidananda’s birth centennial, LOTUS – India was dedicated on December 22, 2014 with a magnificent celebration. Built in the shape of a lotus blossom (the ancient symbol for the soul’s spiritual unfolding) LOTUS is a sanctuary for silent meditation, contemplation and prayer. It has altars for multiple faiths and is a place where people of all backgrounds honor their individual traditions while realizing the spiritual unity of all.

A total of 2,500 pilgrims, devotees, and spiritual aspirants celebrated the new spiritual center on Dedication Day. An additional 15,000 people visited LOTUS–India over the following two days.
